Who can join ? Odissi for All
Absolute Beginners
Never danced before?
That is completely fine.
Our beginner Odissi classes online introduce the dance form step by step. You do not need previous training in Odissi or another classical dance form.
Adults Learning Odissi
Many of our students begin or return to dance as adults.
Some danced when they were younger. Others always wanted to learn Indian classical dance but never had the opportunity.
There is no need to believe that you are “too old to begin.”
We teach adults of different ages, backgrounds and levels of physical experience with attention to individual ability and pace.
Children and Teenagers
Young students can develop coordination, concentration, rhythm, confidence and a deeper connection with Indian classical arts through systematic Odissi training.
Teaching is adapted to the student's age and level of experience.
Intermediate and Advanced Students
Students who already have Odissi training can work on technique, repertoire, expression, interpretation and performance.
Private classes are also available for dancers who want focused work on particular areas.
